Tammy Pickering
Tammy R. Pickering is a leadership development consultant who is passionate about helping leaders bring out the best in themselves and their teams. She has more than 20 years’ experience developing and facilitating leadership programs that have resulted in increased retention and promotions. Her clients come from a variety of industries, including manufacturing, fiberoptics, public utilities, banking, and healthcare.
Tammy understands change can be stressful yet empowering, which is why she most enjoys coaching leaders on the brink or in the midst of changes. She works with leaders and individual contributors to help them crystalize what’s most important to them and use this understanding to guide their thinking and ultimately their actions. Tammy completed her coaching certification training through the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) and firmly supports the CTI model of honoring clients as creative, resourceful, and whole.
Tammy is a conference speaker and a Leadership Challenge and DDI certified facilitator. Her articles have appeared in the Evansville Courier, Evansville Business Magazine, the Jackson Clarion Ledger, and the former Indiana Journal of Commerce & Industry. She is also the author of Get Yourself Elected, a how-to guide for campaigning for local office.
She earned a B.A. in English and an M.S. in Mass Communication from the University of Southern Mississippi, and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern Indiana.
In her free time, Tammy enjoys traveling with family and friends, reading, cake baking, and tennis.
